Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation 2187 inhabitants of Mariupol were killed, - city council
About 100 air bombs have been dropped on Mariupol since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the City Council in Telegram.
"Every day Mariupol suffers from raids by racists. At least 22 bombings of a peaceful city in 24 hours," the City Council said.
Authorities said about 100 bombs had already been dropped on Mariupol.
The occupiers are cynically and purposefully beating houses, crowded places, destroying children's hospitals, and destroying the city's infrastructure. Each bombing brings terrible destruction and takes away the most important thing - the lives of peaceful Mariupol residents. As of today, 2,187 Mariupol residents have died from attacks by the Russian Federation," the statement reads.
They noted that for the 400,000 Mariupol residents who are blocked in the city, the biggest threat is from the sky.
"NATO's closure of the skies over Ukraine or the provision of the necessary air defense systems is a solution that could save hundreds of thousands of innocent lives across Ukraine," the city council said.
