Searching people, shooting overhead: Russian military violate agreements in humanitarian corridors - Vereshchuk
Russia violates agreements on the work of humanitarian corridors
Vice Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk said this on the air of the telethon, UNIAN reports.
She noted that Russia systematically violates the obligation.
“We inform the Red Cross that literally 20-30 minutes after the opening of the corridors, Russia begins to violate agreements: they search people, shoot overhead to intimidate, there is violence, there is everything that falls under international law, and everything indicates that it would fall under war crimes", Vereshchuk said.
The Deputy Prime Minister notes that the ICRC's efforts are "insufficient, to put it mildly".
She said that there is an agreement to replace the representative of the Red Cross in Ukraine, a representative who has experience in Syria and knows how to help in practice will come.
