Russian-appointed authorities expand military commissariats network on temporarily occupied territories
Russian-backed authorities are accelerating the establishment of "military registration and enlistment offices.” After some time, there may be a wave of mobilization in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine
Yuriy Sobolevskyi, the First Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council, shared the information on Espreso TV.
"We see an increase in activity regarding the creation of a system of "military registration and enlistment offices.” More and more of them are being opened. There are reports that people are receiving calls. This may indicate that in some time there will be a wave of mobilization in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Earlier, the Russian-installed authorities were afraid to give Kherson residents weapons," Sobolevskyi said.
He mentioned that the Russian-installed authorities often resort to using money to resolve matters, and in some cases, they have even turned it into a profitable business.
"A person is detained knowing that he or she has money. After that, the invaders are waiting for someone to pay a "ransom" for this person. Most likely, there will be such an opportunity to evade the so-called mobilization. But this is an individual matter, it depends on how they "negotiate.” But they are making sure that the scale of this "business" does not disrupt Moscow's plans," added the deputy head of the Kherson Regional Council.
- The Ukrainian General Staff informs that due to catastrophic losses in the Russian army, massive forced mobilization of the population will begin in the near future in remote regions of the Russian Federation and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Between 400,000 and 700,000 people are planned to be drafted into the armed forces.
- A representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, called for avoiding mobilization in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine on Espreso TV. If there is an opportunity to purchase a medical certificate or avoid obtaining a passport, it is recommended to do so.
