Russians take children to 'cadet corps' in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories
Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar says the invading Russian troops have opened 'cadet corps' in the temporarily occupied territories, forcing parents to send their children there
Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar wrote about this on Telegram.
“The Russian occupation administrations have launched an ideological campaign to force parents to send their children to study in the so-called cadet corps,” she wrote.
According to Hanna Maliar, in 2023, a similar occupation institution was opened in the Luhansk region, in the town of Starobilsk. In particular, it is planned to deploy similar 'cadet corps' in Skadovsk, Novotroitske and Henichesk districts of the Kherson region.
“In addition, in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, active campaigning in prisons for convicts to join Russian private military companies continues. Inmates are accepted regardless of their criminal record, age, health status and gender,” she added.
