Claims of "war ending on December 30" are part of PSYOP — Ukrainian diplomat
Ukrainian politician and diplomat Roman Bezsmertnyi claimed that the FSB orchestrated an information operation suggesting the war against Ukraine would end by December 30, which has reached an intermediate stage
He voiced this opinion on Espreso TV.
“The rhetoric of the U.S. election campaign, particularly that of Donald Trump, his inner circle, and the nominees for his potential administration, led to what I believe to be a special information operation developed and implemented to the extent the FSB could manage,” commented Roman Bezsmertnyi. “Around mid-October, the claims being circulated were distributed in significant quantities, and these were quite large documents. However, upon examining these materials, a comparison of the facts revealed that it was disinformation.”
According to him, the matter involved a trilateral negotiation process mediated by China. Names were mentioned, along with fragments of transcripts from the negotiation process. All of this was described credibly enough for those unfamiliar with the calendar of international events, the functional responsibilities of certain individuals in Ukraine and abroad, and the roles they play, as names from the highest political leadership of the United States, Russia, China, and Ukraine were mentioned.
"At that time, I told those who contacted me that this was unacceptable and impossible, considering the first, second, and third reasons. Moreover, it was possible to trace the chain back to the primary source where these documents first appeared. Some of the authors I spoke with also reached the same conclusion and were convinced it was not true. However, it is evident that there were some who took this at face value. What we saw in the media was, in essence, the blind use of certain individuals. These individuals were targeted because they had a large number of followers on their Telegram channels, YouTube, and other platforms, which amplified the disinformation," the diplomat explained.
Bezsmertnyi concluded by drawing a parallel to figures like Kashpirovsky and Alan Chumak, noting that it is natural for people to be captivated by such ideas, especially in challenging times. Understandably, people hope for a miracle to resolve the situation quickly. However, this is not a miracle but rather an information operation that exploits certain individuals unknowingly, and it has now reached an intermediate stage, he remarked.
