Russian troops destroy apartment block in Svesa, Sumy region, 2-year-olds among injured
Russian troops targeted the settlement of Svesa in the Sumy region with guided aerial bombs on Saturday, January 4. The attack destroyed a block of an apartment building, among the injured are two 2-year-old toddlers
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Police.
They stated that at approximately 3:00 PM today, the Russian army launched two aerial bombs on a residential apartment building in the settlement of Svesa, Shostka district.
As a result of the attack, two 2-year-old children were injured, along with three other residents. A five-story apartment building suffered damage, with one block completely destroyed.
In connection with this incident, police investigators have initiated criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of the laws and customs of war).
Earlier, the Sumy Regional Military Administration (RMA) reported that three people, including two children, were injured in the attack. The RMA added that an emergency rescue operation is underway, as people may still be trapped under the rubble.
