Ukraine extends visa-free regime for British citizens
On January 3, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy extended the visa-free regime for entry and transit through Ukraine for citizens of the UK and Northern Ireland

Decree No. 12/2025 states: "To extend the visa-free regime for entry into Ukraine and transit through the territory of Ukraine for citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, provided their stay in Ukraine does not exceed 90 days within 180 days, until January 30, 2026," the document reads.
The decree came into effect on January 3.
Ukraine introduced a visa-free regime for citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on January 31, 2020.
- Ukraine and the European Commission have extended the 'transport visa-free regime' for a year with the possibility of automatic prolongation until the end of 2025.
