Russians are preparing for defense of Kherson, but this will not stop the offensive of Ukrainian Armed Forces on right bank of Dnipro
Defense Express analyst Serhii Zgurets believes that, despite the active rotation of Russian troops in Kherson, the tactics and strategy of actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the de-occupation of Kherson region will remain unchanged
He expressed this opinion on the air of the Espreso TV channel.
"Indeed, when we talk about the de-occupation of the right bank of the Dnipro in the Kherson region, the tactics and strategy of actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine remain unchanged. We combine a combination of long-range weapons and pressure along the entire line of contact. However, a large Russian grouping of troops really remains on this part of the front. The basis of their part is the landing troops, which are considered the most combat-ready," Zgurets explained.
The analyst added that the Russians are actively rotating troops in Kherson.
"According to various estimates, there are 10,000 to 15,000 Russian troops in Kherson Oblast and Kherson. The Russian forces are rotating these units under the guise of evacuating the civilian population from the Right Bank. I think that the tactics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not change. The issue is that the release of Kherson may take more time," he added.
- On October 28, the General Staff reported that about 1,000 mobilized Russian soldiers were sent to strengthen the enemy group on the right-bank part of the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region
