Russians are not ready for winter campaign - General Skzypchak
Ukraine will be more ready for hostilities in winter, but the Russian army is not ready for a winter campaign at all
General of the Armor of the Polish Armed Forces Waldemar Skzypchak said this on the air of the "West Studio with Antin Borkowski" program on the Espreso TV channel.
"The Russians are not at all ready for winter, in my opinion, precisely because they have heavy troops. They have tank and mechanized troops, so in autumn and winter they have limited possibilities of conducting combat operations. Meanwhile, Ukraine has an advantage over them, because despite tank and mechanized troops, has light formations, with light combat equipment, which can conduct activities in any weather conditions," he said.
According to the general, Ukrainian Armed Forces will have more opportunities than the Russian troops.
"You will have an advantage because you will be able to fight all the time because of the potential of light troops. Light armored vehicles, a lot of light infantry, the National Guard. You have much more capabilities than the Russians. Because they will dig in and hide behind tanks because they have nothing else" - noted Skshipchak.
He believes that Russians have already gone on the defensive on the entire front.
"They will try at any cost to hold that front, so as not to allow themselves to be thrown across the border to their country. Instead, you have different capabilities, you have light troops, and you have a lot of them, so you can conduct surprise attacks, beat the Russians all the time,”- concluded the general.
