Russia strikes hotel annexe in Myrnohrad with missile at night: one civilian killed
On the night of January 30, the Russian army fired a missile at a hotel annex in Myrnohrad, Donetsk region, killing one person and wounding another
The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, reported the information.
"The Russians hit the hotel annex with a missile - at the time of the strike, there were about 30 people in the hotel, they were not injured," he wrote.
According to the official, the strike damaged 3 houses and 3 cars.
Filashkin once again called on residents of the Donetsk region to evacuate.
Oon the night of January 28, Russian troops also launched missiles at Myrnohrad. A teenager was among the victims.
Evacuation efforts from the Donetsk region
In March 2023, Ukraine’s government approved a mechanism for the forced evacuation of children accompanied by a parent or other legal representative from areas affected by active hostilities.
On October 23, a decision was made to conduct a forced evacuation of children from 8 settlements in the Bakhmut and Pokrovsk districts of the Donetsk region.
On January 19, 2024, Filashkin reported that all children had been evacuated from the settlements of the Marinka, Ocheretyne and Vuhledar communities of the Donetsk region, where mandatory evacuation was announced. Evacuation from the Toretsk community continues.
On January 24, Filashkin announced the expansion of the list of settlements from which families with children must evacuate.
