Russia uses new grenades with toxic substances
Russian troops began to use chemical weapons more often, as well as a new type of grenades with poisonous substances
Captain Andriy Rudyk, a representative of the Center for Research of Trophy and Advanced Weapons and Military Equipment, said this.
According to him, in December 2023, 81 cases of Russia's use of grenades with toxic substances were recorded.
"Also in December, the use of the RG-VO grenade was recorded for the first time. This grenade contains chloroacetophenone, an asphyxiating substance prohibited by the Geneva Protocol on the use of asphyxiating, poisonous or other gases in warfare," he said.
The Center for Research of Trophy and Advanced Weapons and Military Equipment suggests that if it gets into a room or dugout, 5 minutes is enough to kill people there.
