Ukrainian National Guard Major forecasts when Russia’s next big attack might happen
Ukrainian National Guard Reserve Major Oleksii Hetman believes Russia may launch a massive attack on Ukraine in the coming days
He shared his view on Espreso TV.
“On the 22nd, there were discussions about possible shelling on the 23rd and 24th. I predicted that there would be no massive shelling on those dates, and fortunately, I was right. The Russians have learned that we expect heavy shelling on important dates, so they often wait until after these dates when our guard might be down. They then launch significant shelling. I anticipate that we will see serious shelling soon,” he said.
Oleksii Hetman also predicted the number of missiles Russia could launch.
“The longer there is no shelling, the more missiles they can accumulate. They produce up to a hundred missiles a month. They will use what they have produced against us, so we can expect either a very strong strike or multiple strikes. It could be a single strike of at least a hundred missiles at once, or several strikes with maybe 30-40 missiles each day. They will do it anyway. The war hasn’t stopped, and neither has their shelling. The shelling of border areas is mainly done with equipment that doesn’t require much preparation. Preparing a strike with cruise missiles from a Tu-95 bomber, for example, involves gathering the missiles, writing a flight mission, and then loading them — it’s a complex process, not as simple as loading sacks of potatoes. So, they will prepare and launch attacks, including regular strikes on the border regions,” Oleksii Hetman said.
