Russia shells eight settlements in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, killing one person
On December 22, Russian forces struck the frontlines and residential areas in eight settlements across the Donetsk region 3,247 times, killing one person and injuring another
This was reported by Ukraine’s National Police.
According to the report, towns such as Kostiantynivka, Lyman, Pokrovsk, and Toretsk, along with the villages of Hryshyne, Stinky, Udachne, and Yarova, were hit.
The attacks damaged 79 civilian structures, including 46 residential buildings. In Udachne, Russian forces dropped four FAB-250 bombs, killing one civilian and damaging 12 private homes and a cultural center.
In Pokrovsk, Russian troops launched five FAB-250 bombs and used drones, injuring one person and causing severe damage to 10 private houses, a dormitory, several administrative buildings, a workshop, a business, a gas station, and buses.
In Hryshyne, a private house was hit by shelling. In Kostiantynivka, after dropping five FAB-250 bombs, Russian forces shelled the town with artillery, destroying eight houses, garages, vehicles, and infrastructure.
The village of Stinky was hit by an airstrike, which damaged nine private homes, a car, and a power line. Meanwhile, in Yarova, Smerch multiple launch rocket systems struck three outbuildings, garages, and cars.
The National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine have opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for violations of the laws and customs of war.
