The U.S. Embassy reported the information.
“The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv assesses that during the next several days and through the weekend there is an increased risk of both nighttime and daytime Russian drone and missile attacks throughout Ukraine in connection with Ukraine’s Independence Day on August 24,” the statement says.
The embassy recommends following updates in local media, identifying shelter locations ahead of any air raid, taking shelter immediately if an air raid is announced, and following the instructions of Ukrainian officials and first responders in the event of an emergency.
- On August 21, U.S. Congressmen Rob Wittman and David Trone met with Ukraine's Defense Minister Umerov and Ukrainian Parliament Chairman Stefanchuk.
