Russian forces use chemical munitions in Zaporizhzhia
On August 6, the Russian occupation army used prohibited chemical munitions in the area of Novodanylivka, Zaporizhzhia region
This was announced by the commander of the Tavria operational and strategic group of troops, General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi.
"Russian enemy continues to use chemical munitions in violation of all conventions. Yesterday, the enemy fired two artillery attacks from multiple rocket launchers containing chemicals (probably chloropicrin) near Novodanylivka," he wrote.
According to him, no one was injured as a result of the shelling.
Reference: Chloropicrin is an irritant to mucous membranes. It causes tearing, eyelid closure, bronchitis and pulmonary edema. Strong uncontrollable convulsions of the diaphragm muscles begin. It is prohibited for military use under the Chemical Weapons Convention.
