Russian forces find new tool to pressure people to take Russian passports
Invading Russian troops continue to forcibly issue Russian passports to residents of temporarily occupied Ukrainian regions
The Center for National Resistance reports that the occupying troops are now using a new tool to encourage people to obtain Russian passports - the issuance of state housing certificates of the Russian Federation intended for the purchase of housing in Russia.
“The information campaign that has been launched around this process emphasizes that Kherson residents conclude a deal and move into new apartments “in safe regions of the Russian Federation”, and the average amount equivalent to one such certificate is about RUB 2.928 million, covering the cost of housing in such settlements as Stavropol or Krasnodar,” Ukraine's Center for National Resistance wrote.
The Center noted that the pace of passport issuance is slow and that even such campaigning does not help fulfill the plan set before the collaborators by Moscow.
