Russian forces attack 10 regions in Ukraine in one day
On Saturday, September 16, Russia launched attacks on 10 Ukrainian regions, resulting in 2 fatalities and 10 injuries
The information about the situation in these regions as of 09:00 was provided by regional state administrations.
In the Chernihiv region, the enemy conducted 6 shelling incidents throughout the day, using grenade launchers, mortars, and unguided air missiles. Two districts were affected. Fortunately, no casualties or damage to civilian infrastructure were reported.
In the Sumy region, the Russians carried out 4 strikes on the border during the night and morning, targeting four communities. Fortunately, these attacks caused no harm. Additionally, there were 37 border shelling incidents throughout the previous day with no casualties.
During the night, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the enemy targeted the Pokrovsk community in the Nikopol district, firing over half a dozen shells. Information about the consequences is pending clarification. Over the last day, there were 7 shelling incidents in the Nikopol district, with the enemy aiming at Nikopol itself, as well as the two communities. Heavy artillery and kamikaze drones were used, resulting in damage to an infrastructure facility, a three-story building, and a private house. Thankfully, there were no casualties or injuries.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, 20 settlements were subjected to enemy fire, with 100 impacts recorded. The Russians launched 5 MLRS attacks on four settlements, along with 4 UAV attacks on three settlements. There were also 5 reported cases of residential and commercial building destruction. Fortunately, no civilians were injured.
In the Kharkiv region, the enemy launched a rocket attack on the city during the night, causing a fire when 4 S300 anti-aircraft missile complex 5B55 missiles hit an enterprise. Additionally, 5 strategic cruise missiles 9M727 from the Iskander K missile complex damaged a company's warehouse, causing a fire and damaging 5 cars, resulting in 6 injuries. A private house in the village of Petropavlivka, Kupyansk district, was also damaged, leading to the injury of a 23-year-old civilian. Moreover, between the villages of Hlyboke and Strilecha, Russian occupiers struck a civilian car with a guided anti-tank missile, resulting in the death of the man and woman in the car and the injury of a 72-year-old man who was hospitalized in serious condition.
In the Luhansk region, the enemy carried out 151 shelling incidents throughout the day, including airstrikes on Novoyehorivka and Nevske, as well as artillery attacks on Nevske and Bilohorivka.
In the Donetsk region, Russian forces targeted 4 settlements. Two residential buildings, one of them being an apartment building, and a workshop of a plant were damaged. One person in the region was injured during the day.
In the Mykolaiv region, air defense forces successfully destroyed four Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs at night. Additionally, a truck and dry grass caught fire outside one of the communities due to debris from a downed UAV, but there were no casualties.
In the Odesa region, the enemy launched missile attacks and UAVs on Odesa, mainly targeting the southern part. Air defense systems were activated, and enemy rockets hit a civilian agricultural enterprise in Odesa region, where emergency services are currently working to assess the extent of the damage.
Lastly, in the Kherson region, the enemy conducted 77 shelling incidents, including 4 on Kherson itself. The Russians targeted 26 settlements in the region, as well as an educational institution and two hydrotechnical structures in Beryslav district. An apartment building in the city of Beryslav was also hit, resulting in a 63-year-old woman being injured and hospitalized in moderate condition.
On the night of September 16-17, Russian terrorists launched rocket attacks on the city of Kharkiv, and there were missile strikes on agricultural lands and granaries in Odesa.
