Russian army attacks 8 Ukrainian regions overnight: 12 people killed, 93 wounded

On Monday, August 7, the Russian military attacked eight regions of Ukraine. As a result of the shelling, 12 people were killed and about 100 were wounded.

Information about the consequences of the attacks was published by the regional military administrations.

Chernihiv region: the Russian forces made 3 attacks over the last day: Novhorod-Siverskyi district was fired upon with multiple rocket launchers and mortars, Chernihiv district was shelled with artillery. There were no casualties or damage.

Sumy region: at night and in the morning, Russian occupying forces conducted 2 attacks on the region: they fired mortars at two settlements in Khotyn community.

No casualties or damage to civilian infrastructure was reported. Also yesterday, the Russian soldiers attacked the region 11 times during the day: they fired at 7 settlements in 3 communities. A private residential building was damaged as a result of the shelling. Other data on the consequences are being clarified.

Dnipropetrovsk region: the night was restless in Nikopol district: the Russian army made 4 attacks. The enemy fired from heavy artillery and Grad systems. 

In Pokrovske community, the Russian shells hit a power facility. No one was killed or injured. The Russian militants continued to attack Nikopol in the morning. Information on the consequences is being clarified.

Yesterday afternoon, the Russian forces fired 7 times at Nikopol district, covering the area with heavy artillery. Most of the attacks took place in Nikopol itself. There is one dead, one wounded and destruction. In Marhanets community, Russian shells caused a fire, which was quickly extinguished. In addition, two drones and a missile were shot down over the region yesterday. The debris fell in Dniprovskyi district. One person was injured.

Zaporizhzhia region: Russian military intensified shelling of Zaporizhzhia region - 105 attacks on 24 localities were recorded over the past day.  In Novodanilovka, the dismantling of a house destroyed by an air strike is completed: the body of a 53-year-old man who was reported missing was taken out of the rubble.

An 83-year-old woman was injured in a nighttime artillery shelling of Preobrazhenka and was rushed to a hospital in the regional center.

Kharkiv region: yesterday evening Russian occupiers attacked the village of Kruhlyakivka, Kupyansk district, with four guided missiles. 6 houses and outbuildings were damaged. 2 people died - a 45-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man. 4 people were hospitalized. Another 57-year-old woman was assisted on the spot and did not need hospitalization. Also injured and hospitalized were 2 employees of the State Emergency Service and 2 police officers.

As a result of shelling in Kucherivka and Petropavlivka villages of Kupyansk district, infrastructure and a residential building were damaged, a 63-year-old man was wounded.

The shelling of Kupyansk damaged residential buildings and caused fires. A forest belt on the area of 5000 square meters was burning.

Luhansk region: another Russian attempt to storm south of Novoselivske was repelled. The invaders intensify artillery shelling along the entire front line. Bilohorivka and Kuzmyne came under enemy fire. They carried out 148 attacks over the last day.

Donetsk region: yesterday evening, the Russian militants launched two rocket attacks on the center of Pokrovsk. They killed 7 people (5 civilians, an employee of the State Emergency Service and a serviceman) and wounded 81 (39 civilians, including two children born in 2006 and 2012, 31 policemen, 4 military, 7 employees of the State Emergency Service).

In addition, one person was wounded during the shelling of Rai Oleksandrivka.

In total, during the day, the invading Russian forces fired 19 times at the region's localities, using Iskander missiles, KAB-500 air strikes, Uragan and Grad MLRS, and artillery. According to operational data, 31 objects were damaged.

Kherson region: the Russian invaders fired 68 times in the region over the last day, 10 of them in Kherson. They hit the areas of 23 settlements in the region and the building of the "Point of Unbreakability" in Kherson. As a result of last night's shelling of a residential building in Kherson, 8 residents were diagnosed with a situation-neurotic reaction. One person with limited mobility was hospitalized. Two rescuers were injured while extinguishing a fire caused by an enemy strike. They were taken to a medical facility with generalized overheating of the body.

A 59-year-old woman died as a result of a second artillery shell hit to the house, and a 60-year-old man sustained contusions. A 93-year-old woman was also wounded. She was hospitalized with mine-blast injury and contusion. The Russian occupiers also hit a residential building in Sadove village. A 50-year-old man was wounded. In total, 1 person died and 13 were wounded in the last day as a result of Russian aggression.
