Zelenskyy's Victory Plan is information campaign with risky implications for Ukrainians – Journalist Portnykov
Journalist Vitaly Portnykov explained that President Zelenskyy's Victory Plan is chiefly an information campaign aimed at Ukrainian citizens
He shared this view on Espreso.
"The so-called plan for Ukraine’s victory in the war by Volodymyr Zelenskyy is more of an information campaign. And, as I see it, it’s less targeted at the West and more focused on Ukrainian society. This, however, is quite dangerous. It makes people think that Zelenskyy will head to the U.S., present this plan, and in no time, we’ll get all the support we need, wrapping up the war in a few months. When it was initially said that this plan was for the current U.S. administration, but also meant for Trump and Harris, I found it strange. Yet, for those who often treat government announcements as political facts, this doesn’t seem odd at all. Many people are now saying the war will end in months, so why bother preparing for a winter without electricity? These are the outcomes of such information tactics," Portnykov remarked.
Portnykov stressed that this is problematic since the government has been leading Ukrainians on with similar messages for the past 2.5 years.
