Ukrainian IT Army attacks keep Crimean bridge mostly out of service
Recently, Ukrainian IT Army disrupted traffic on the Crimean bridge. Serhii Bratchuk, spokesman for the Ukrainian Volunteer Army South, says that such incidents frequently occur in Crimea
He shared this information on Espreso TV.
"These databases, which affect the electronic operations of various institutions, are constantly under attack by Ukrainian IT Army. Although the bridge is limited in functionality, it is still a logistical route for the Russia's military purposes. The Russian forces are trying to keep the bridge operational for this reason, but it is often idle more than it is functional. These IT Army attacks signal that at some point, critical systems in Crimea may be turned off," Bratchuk said.
Commenting on the Navy's advice for Russians to leave Crimea, Bratchuk noted that the peninsula is currently a war zone.
"These warnings suggest that if ballistic missiles hit the Odesa region, an alarm will immediately sound in Sevastopol. This isn't a guaranteed hit, but it happens frequently.
From the start of the invasion, Russians were advised to stay away from military areas and not sunbathe on the beaches like they do in Sevastopol. So, I repeat to all Russians: 'If you came here while the bridge is open, pack up and go to the Ural Mountains,'" he added.
