Kallas to meet Rubio in Washington over Ukraine, highlights “strong Russian narrative” in U.S. discourse
The head of European diplomacy will visit Washington on February 25, to meet with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and discuss Ukraine and the EU

She announced this to journalists in Brussels, according to the Washington Post.
Kallas stated that she is traveling to Washington tomorrow for talks with Rubio. The diplomat emphasized that based on U.S. statements, it is "clear that the Russian narrative is there very strongly represented."
"You can discuss whatever you want with Putin. But if it comes to Europe or Ukraine then Ukraine and Europe also have to agree to this deal," she added.
- Head of the Institute of American Studies, Vladyslav Faraponov, noted that despite the shift in U.S. rhetoric on Ukraine, it is still too early to say that the U.S. has made agreements behind Ukraine’s back.
