Denmark allocates €268 million for Ukraine’s defense
On February 24, the Danish government announced a two-billion-kroner package (approximately $285 million) to provide Ukraine with arms and ammunition

According to the announcement, the funds will go toward supplying ammunition to Ukrainian forces and helping establish a Ukrainian brigade in cooperation with Nordic and Baltic countries.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen reaffirmed Denmark’s commitment to supporting Ukraine for as long as necessary.
"Denmark’s message to Ukrainians remains the same: we will continue our support for as long as it takes. Ukraine is fighting for all of Europe. We must ensure Ukraine is in the strongest possible position. I’m proud that Denmark, alongside the Nordic and Baltic countries, is leading the way in supporting Ukraine," Frederiksen said.
- As the war enters its third year, Kyiv is hosting the Support Ukraine summit, bringing together leaders of partner nations, including Frederiksen. Discussions at the summit focus on peace, security guarantees, and Ukraine’s long-term defense strategy.
- During the event, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced that Spain would allocate €1 billion in aid to Ukraine in 2025. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also unveiled a new assistance package, which includes infantry fighting vehicles, F-16 trainers, and ammunition.
- Meanwhile, the United Kingdom has announced its largest sanctions package against Russia since the full-scale invasion began, alongside a significant new round of military aid for Ukraine.
