Oleh Rybachuk, head of the NGO The Center of United Actions, believes that Donald Trump will try to find a solution to end the Russo-Ukrainian war as quickly as possible

He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.

“We can see that 24 hours have passed since the announcement of the U.S. election results, and Trump has put the topic of ending the war on the back burner. Everyone understands that we need to prepare carefully for these negotiations. We do not yet know the team that will be around Donald Trump.

In fact, Trump is facing a huge challenge. He probably believed himself that he could instantly resolve the war in Ukraine. Many people say that he has a dream of winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Therefore, I believe that the Russian-Ukrainian war is a huge problem for him, and he will work on it. However, it is obvious that there will be no complete reunification of Ukraine,” Rybachuk explained.

The politician emphasized that Ukraine should prepare and work effectively at the diplomatic level before the inauguration of Donald Trump to insist on its own terms of ending the war.

“There are two scenarios for Trump's proposals. One is when a compromise needs to be reached on both sides. This means that Russia has to make serious concessions. If not, Ukraine can get maximum military support. In this situation, much depends on who Trump's advisors will be. However, it should be understood that no miracle will happen before January 20. We need to work as efficiently as possible during this time,” he added.

  • On November 6, world leaders took to social media to congratulate Republican candidate Donald Trump on his presidential election victory.
  • After Donald Trump’s win in the U.S. presidential election, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that Kyiv is ready to work with Washington to strengthen their “strategic partnership”.
  • It was also reported that US President Biden called Trump to congratulate him on his victory.
  • In her address to Americans after her defeat, Kamala Harris assured them that Trump would be handed power peacefully.
