President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on Telegram.
"First of all, the frontline situation and our control measures. Heavy fighting in the Pokrovsk sector and the defense of Toretsk continue. I am grateful for every result in the destruction of the invaders. We are working to provide weapons and the necessary strong decisions to our partners in the frontline," he wrote.
At the same time, Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine had replenished the exchange fund in the morning, and that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were achieving their goals in the Kursk region.
"The Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief also reported on new details of the operation in the Kursk region. We are achieving our goals. In the morning, there is another replenishment of the exchange fund for our state. We also discussed some aspects of our missile program," the president noted.
- As of August 14, about 3,000 civilians remained in Toretsk in the Donetsk region. Evacuation from the town is slow.
