Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Military Administration, said that after Russia’s presidential "elections" in the occupied territories of the region, the Russians intensified the "filtration" of the population and reported on their plans for "mobilization"

He reported this on Telegram.

"Our people will be sent to the front line to the greatest extent possible, those who are in the occupied territories. What is also significant is that last year they separated conscript service for the temporarily occupied territories, so they did not conduct conscription there. This year, there is no mention of the temporarily occupied territories, so they are going to hold a full conscription there," the head of the region said.

According to estimates of the number of people living in the temporarily occupied territories, Russians can "mobilize" about 50,000 residents of the temporarily occupied territories in Zaporizhzhia region.

"Today it is difficult to answer how many people it will be, but if we are talking about the mobilization potential in the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region, it is 50,000 people, so there will definitely be fewer conscripts, but they will still take our residents to their Russian army as much as possible," Fedorov said.

He also said that in the temporarily occupied part of the region, Russians have again deployed mobile checkpoints, in particular in Melitopol, Berdiansk, and Tokmak.

There are also more soldiers and patrols with dogs on the streets.

"They stop people on the street, demand documents and check their military registration," said the head of the Military Administration.

  • Forced passportization continues: people who do not yet have a "document" will have to pass history and Russian language exams starting July 1 to obtain one.
  • On April 3, Ivan Fedorov said that education in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region was being transferred to a "military track".
