"Russia will conduct fewer flights": official on operations of Ukrainian Defense Forces in Crimea
Spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, Captain 1st Rank Natalia Humeniuk, has commented on the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ operations in the temporarily occupied Crimea
She shared the information on Espreso TV.
"There is still work to be done in Crimea, but the preliminary results are already quite convincing - there will be fewer flights. It is clear that the Russians have the appropriate base points, which both they and we know about. And most importantly, we know that these are our base points, so we are clearing and preparing," emphasized Humeniuk.
According to her, the Russian air defense system is in an unstable state, and not only because it is constantly moving.
"Russians constantly have to make nervous maneuvers. Because there are a lot of targets, and there are fewer and fewer to cover them. That's why the enemy is maneuvering, which we are monitoring. We continue to hunt for means of their defense so that we can work on those objects as well," noted Humeniuk.
The head of the Joint Coordination Press Center for the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine additionally mentioned that the Ivanovets boat that was destroyed served as a work vessel carrying out relevant tasks.
"It is obvious that it had a trained crew. The boat's staff is up to 40 people. It is difficult to say how many were on board at the time. The search and rescue operation was launched immediately and lasted for quite some time. At the time the boat was damaged, it was performing a task to cover the Donuzlav Lake base, where Russians are trying to cover what is important to them on land from the sea," explained Humeniuk.
