Russia captures Vuhledar in Ukraine's Donetsk region - DeepState
On Tuesday, October 1, Russian army has reportedly managed to seize the town of Vuhledar in Donetsk region
This was reported by the OSINT portal DeepState.
“Russians have occupied Vuhledar. The bastards are posting rags on all corners of the town. I don't want to comment on the last days of the defense, because nothing will change anyway. We honor those who fought and those who are no longer with us,” the OSINT specialists said in a statement.
The town of Vuhledar was founded in 1964 and is located in the southwestern part of Donetsk region. Before the full-scale war, about 15 thousand people lived here.
On September 30, the General Staff confirmed that fighting continued around Vuhledar.
“But to be clear, this is probably the hardest fight the 72nd Brigade has faced throughout the entire defense of Vuhledar,” military expert Serhiy Zgurets said. "The situation is critical. We’ll see what happens next in Vuhledar and what the military leadership decides to do about it," he added.
There is no official confirmation of the DeepState information yet.
