Russia deploys upgraded Shahed drones with shrapnel to kill more civilians
Invading Russian army is using Shahed-type attack drones with an increased warhead to kill as many Ukrainian civilians as possible

Andriy Yermak, the head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, stated this.
“Russia is now using Shahed drones with an increased warhead of up to 90 kg and metal elements (shrapnel) to maximize the number of civilian casualties,” he wrote.
“Criminals and terrorists must be held accountable for this, and they will be,” Yermak added.
- On the evening of January 29, Russian forces launched attack drones against Ukrainian territory. In Sumy, as a result of a Shahed drone hitting a residential building, people were killed.
