Ukrainian journalist Andriy Tsaplienko shared the information on his Telegram channel.
On Holocaust Remembrance Day, 90-year-old Roman Schwarzman addressed the German Bundestag with a statement.
"Back then, Hitler tried to kill me for being a Jew, and now Putin is trying to kill me for being a Ukrainian," Roman Schwarzman said.
As a child, Schwarzman survived the Bershad ghetto in the Nazi-occupied Vinnytsia region, where his brother died.
Decades later, in 2023, he narrowly escaped death again when a Russian missile struck his home in Ukraine.
His simple words serve as a reminder of history’s darkest moments and its echoes in the present.
- On the evening of Wednesday, January 29, the occupying Russian army launched attack UAVs on Ukraine. A fire broke out on the outskirts of Chernihiv as a result of the Shahed explosion. In Sumy, there were casualties, with nine people injured.
