The Southern Ukrainian Defense Forces reported in the morning that the Russians had attacked the region with regular waves of attack drones that night. The occupation forces again targeted the energy infrastructure.

Air defense forces managed to destroy 14 Russian drones overnight - 12 in Mykolaiv region and 2 in Odesa region.

However, there were also hits. In the Mykolaiv region, Russian troops hit an energy facility. A fire broke out there, which has already been localized by firefighters. The consequences of the attack are being clarified, but there are no preliminary reports of casualties.

Fragments of the downed drones also caused a fire at a recreational facility in the coastal zone of the Ochakiv community. The fire was extinguished, no one was injured.

According to the Regional Military Administration, emergency blackouts were introduced in Mykolaiv district as a result of the night attack, and restoration work is underway.

Ukrenergo also later said that due to damage to equipment at one of the substations, the control center was forced to impose emergency blackouts in the Mykolaiv region.

As of 8:00 a.m., according to the head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Kim, all previously disconnected consumers have been reconnected. He added that power engineers are working and doing everything possible to keep it that way.

In addition, at dawn, Russian troops attacked the Odesa region with ballistic missiles. They hit critical, transport and logistics infrastructure. Two employees of a transport company have already been reported injured.

The military adds that an energy facility, a private house, and several cars were also damaged. People were fortunately spared.

Instead, Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov said that Russia had hit the city's energy infrastructure.

"The enemy has been 'congratulating' Odesa on the Liberation Day (from the Nazis - ed.) all morning. In the city, the Russians hit the energy infrastructure. We are assessing the extent of damage to the power facility," he wrote.

According to the mayor of Odesa, one person has been reported injured.
