Rheinmetall identifies weapon that performed best on battlefield in Ukraine

According to Defense Express, the Marder infantry fighting vehicles are among the most successful types of weapons and military equipment supplied to the Ukrainian Defense Forces by the German company Rheinmetall, noted the company’s CEO, Armin Papperger, in an interview with TSN.

He stated that the most successful at the moment are the Marder infantry fighting vehicles, noting that the head of the German defense ministry could provide more detailed feedback about the weapons. However, he mentioned that several pieces of information are currently confidential.

Earlier this week, Rheinmetall announced the transfer of another batch of Marder infantry fighting vehicles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the delivery completed by the end of the third quarter of this year. It was also noted that the total number of Marder 1A3 infantry fighting vehicles supplied through various programs, including so-called "circular exchanges," has reached about 200 units.

Additionally, Rheinmetall revealed that the restoration rate for Marder fighting vehicles is 10 units per month, or 120 units per year.
