Ukrainian forces strike Russian command post in Kursk region
On Thursday, January 2, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a Russian army command post in Maryino, located in the Kursk region

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the report, Ukrainian forces took “all necessary measures to minimize risks to the lives of the local civilian population.”
The Armed Forces emphasized that such strikes are primarily aimed at weakening Russia’s ability and willingness to carry out terrorist acts against Ukrainian civilians.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces will relentlessly continue to identify and destroy the military command structures of the aggressor state,” the General Staff added.
- On December 31, operatives from Ukraine’s military intelligence special unit, Group 13, made history by using Magura V5 naval drones to strike two Russian Mi-8 helicopters.
