Zelenskyy pledges to help Syria under Grain from Ukraine program
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy pledged support for Syria through the Grain from Ukraine program after receiving a report on a ministerial visit to the country

The president wrote about this on Telegram.
“The report by Ukraine's Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Agrarian Policy regarding their visit to Syria. The results of the negotiations in Damascus, as well as security and economic prospects. Ukraine will make every effort to help stabilize Syria. The Grain from Ukraine program will be set up to cooperate with the Syrian administration and all partners willing to support it. We will communicate with Europeans and America to ensure the support is as strong as possible," Zelenskyy emphasized.
He added that “greater stability in the Middle East means more peace and trade for all partners.”
- In late December 2024, Ukraine sent 500 tons of wheat flour to Syria as part of a humanitarian program.
