In 2024, Kyiv region restored over 20,000 buildings damaged by Russian military
As a result of Russian aggression, more than 30,800 facilities in Kyiv region were damaged or destroyed. Thanks to the president's initiatives, government programs and international partners, more than 20,000 buildings have already been restored
This was reported by the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
The Kyiv region is one of the leaders in reconstruction among the regions.
“Together with communities and districts, housing restoration projects are being implemented as a matter of priority. The main task of the Kyiv Regional State Administration is to bring people back home and revive life in the communities destroyed by the Russian invaders,” said Mykola Kalashnyk, acting head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
The administration noted that 1,534 apartment buildings and 17,133 private houses have already been restored. Social infrastructure is also being actively rebuilt.
Of the 247 damaged educational institutions, 209 have been restored. Out of 139 damaged healthcare facilities, 120 have been restored. Out of 129 damaged administrative buildings, 81 have been restored.
