Star Wars' star Mark Hamill calls for support for Ukraine in New Year's video

In the video, Hamill, famous for playing Jedi Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, expressed his solidarity with Ukraine in its fight against Russia.

“Wishing you a happy New Year and urging you to please support Ukraine. Any donation you can make would be greatly appreciated,” he said.

He also stressed that Ukraine's victory would be a win for the values of freedom.

“So please contribute to the victory of freedom, to the victory of Ukraine,” Hamill added.

• In his New Year's address, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz emphasized that Germany won't leave Ukraine alone in the fight against Russian aggression.
