"Every day – including December 31 and January 1 – there are continuous Russian assaults in Donetsk region. The most intense areas over the day were Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, and fierce fighting in the Lyman and Vremivka directions," the president said.
Together with the commander-in-chief, they also discussed the defense of the Kherson region. Additionally, Ukrainian units continue to hold positions in the Kursk region, where Syrskyi reported more than 30 Russian attacks per day.
- Over the past day, 140 combat clashes were recorded on the Russia-Ukraine frontline. In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 38 Russian assault and offensive actions.
