Ukrainian defenders repel 38 assaults in Pokrovsk direction amid 140 combat clashes in past day

Over the last day, 140 combat clashes took place at the front. In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian troops stopped 38 Russian assault and offensive actions

Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information as of 8:00 a.m. 

“Yesterday, the Russian aggressor launched one missile strike and 49 air strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, using seven missiles and dropping 79 guided bombs, and used 1,978 kamikaze drones. In addition, they carried out 4,113 attacks, 204 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems,” the General Staff noted.

They added that over the past day, the missile troops and artillery of Ukrainian Defense Forces hit four concentrations of Russian personnel and equipment, as well as two air defense facilities.

Frontline update

In the Kupyansk direction, seven Russian attacks took place yesterday. Ukrainian defense forces rebuffed Russian troops' assault near Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, Lozova and Nova Kruhliakivka.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked 16 times. They tried to advance near Novoserhiivka, Tverdokhlibove, Kopanky, Makiivka, Ivanivka, Zelenyi Hai, Torske, Terny and in Serebryanka forestry.

In the Siversk direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions near Serebrianka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, 14 firefights took place near Chasiv Yar, Stupochky and Predtechyne.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces, supported by aviation, carried out seven attacks near Toretsk, Dyliivka and in the direction of Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 38 Russian assault and offensive actions near Vozdvyzhenka, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Novyi Trud, Solone, Kotlyne, Pishchane, Pokrovsk, Novoielyzavetivka, Promin, Zelene, Novooleonivka, Shevchenko, Dachenske and Novovasylivka.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces fought off 26 attacks on Ukrainian troops' positions near Ukrainka, Petropavlivka and Kurakhove.

In the Vremivka direction, Russian troops conducted 19 offensives against the Ukrainian positions near Dachne, Kostiantynopil, Yantarne, Novosilka, Rozlyv and Novyi Komar.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Ukrainian troops successfully countered one Russian attack near Novoandriivka, despite the Russian active bomber aircraft.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian forces stormed the Ukrainian positions near Zabych Island twice without success.

In the Kursk region, Ukrainian Defense Forces countered five attacks by Russian forces over the past day. 

“In addition, the Russians launched one missile strike and 24 air strikes, using seven missiles and 32 guided bombs, and fired 356 artillery shells at Ukrainian troops' positions and settlements,” the General Staff added.

In the Kharkiv and Huliaipole directions, the occupying Russian army did not conduct any assault operations yesterday.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the Russian military is using artillery and aviation near Ukrainian settlements and conducting reconnaissance.

  • Over the past day, the Ukrainian army eliminated another 1,370 Russian troops. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 13 Russian armored vehicles and 20 artillery systems.
