Ukraine fortifies northern region with circular defense against possible Russian attack

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, announced this during the United News telethon broadcast.

"These are, so to speak, planned measures taken to account for the front line, its possible shifts toward Russian movement, and, essentially, their priorities. Next in line is the construction of fortifications and the circular defense of the cities of Balakliia and Izium," he explained.

The head of the Regional Military Administration did not specify the current stage of the work.

"Some of the work is carried out by the military themselves. The work is proceeding according to plan and is fully controlled by the Ukrainian military," Syniehubov said.
