No Russian combat ship remains in Crimea - Ukrainian Colonel Selezniov
Vladyslav Selezniov, a military expert and colonel with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, noted that the deployment of large Russian landing ships towards Sevastopol has become a challenging task
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The large Russian landing ships are still undergoing repairs at shipyards in Crimea, meaning restoration work continues. Similarly, repairs are ongoing on the submarine Rostov-on-Don, which was significantly damaged by a Storm Shadow missile. Currently, the Russians report that the external hull has been restored and efforts are underway to relaunch this submarine. It's only a matter of time before this Varshavyanka class submarine turns into a pile of scrap metal," emphasized Selezniov.
According to Ukrainian Armed Forces Colonel Selezniov, currently there are no Russian combat ships left in Crimea.
"It's unlikely that the large Russian landing ships undergoing repairs will become operational in the near future. Note that any movement of these ships towards Sevastopol or in the opposite direction turns into a complex quest. The enemy is forced to constantly provide combat security for these landing ships, deploying speedboats ahead. However, it's also a matter of time; our Sea Babies (Ukrainian multi-purpose unmanned surface drone - ed.) are working," noted Selezniov.
- The Sea Baby naval drone, equipped with the Grad MLRS, can hit both sea and land targets in the coastal zone, says Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Malyuk.
- Security Service of Ukraine spokesperson Artem Dehtiarenko stated that Ukraine is currently capable of attacking Russian ships practically anywhere in the Black Sea.
