After a week of significant Russian aviation activity, as of the morning of January 20, the Russian forces have not launched a single air strike in the last 24 hours.

Instead, the Russian troops launched three missile strikes from the S-300 system in the Donetsk region and continued to actively use artillery.

"Russia is focusing assault and offensive actions on Avdiivka and Novomykhailivka. These are mostly infantry attacks, with almost no armored vehicles involved," emphasized Tarnavskyi.

Thus, according to him, a total of 49 combat engagements and 592 artillery attacks were conducted by Russian troops in the Tavria operational area over the past day.

"One unsuccessful attempt by the Russian army to improve the tactical position was south of Zolota Nyva, and there were three in Zaporizhzhia - west of Verbove," the general added.

The Russian total losses in manpower amounted to 356 people and 13 pieces of weapons and military equipment, including 2 artillery systems, 3 drones, 3 vehicles, and 5 pieces of special equipment.
