Major of the National Guard and Chief of Artillery Staff of the 4th Brigade Rubizh, Denys Nahornyi, notes there has been an increase in Russian artillery usage in the Bahmut direction

He shared the information on Espreso TV .

"The brigade is deployed to the Bahmut direction. The situation is quite tough because after the tactical withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Avdiivka, the Russians redistributed their forces. The redistribution of forces took place in Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, and on the Klishchiivka heights - these are the main points where the enemy has now concentrated its efforts. Its main operational task is to reach the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas border with the subsequent capture of the town of Chasiv Yar, which serves as an outpost of the Donetsk fortress - these are the cities of Sloviansk, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, and Kramatorsk. The Russians need logistical hubs. On the enemy side, assault groups of Russian airborne troops are operating, which are well-prepared," Nahornyi noted.

According to the Chief of Artillery Staff of the 4th Brigade Rubizh, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have enough ammunition only for defense.

"The usage of artillery has increased in this direction, along with the deployment of precision-guided munitions such as Krasnopol, and there has been a rise in the presence of UAV swarms. However, current weather conditions are advantageous as drones cannot always operate effectively in adverse weather; nevertheless, under sunny skies, FPV drones and enemy reconnaissance drones are common. We are maintaining parity in response to the significant artillery usage by the Russians. This is because our artillery ammunition is primarily reserved for defense due to delays in receiving assistance," emphasized Nahornyi.

  • At least 86 clashes took place in the frontline over the last day. Ukrainian troops repelled attacks in 6 directions, eliminating 1,250 Russian soldiers.
  • Russian troops are still trying to seize settlements in the Bakhmut direction. Ukrainian defenders are holding the line in Bohdanivka and Ivanivka.
