He said this on Espreso TV.
"Officially, all five enemy airfields in Crimea are operational, but two of them are hardly used, they have a very low level of activity. However, Russia uses the airspace of Crimea 24/7. Aviation has actually replaced surface ships there. In the air, you can see a wide variety of aircraft that they have in their inventory. This includes all models of helicopters that exist in the Russian Black Sea Fleet, such as Ka-27 and similar Mi-8 and Mi-24, which are used primarily to detect and combat surface drones, control the water area," noted the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy.
Dmytro Pletenchuk added that various Russian patrol aircraft, ranging from Be-12 to Sukhoi Su-57, can also be seen in the air of Crimea.
- On August 3, Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk reported that there are currently five military airfields left in the temporarily occupied Crimea, two of which are already without aircraft.
