Russia sees any failure of Ukrainian offensive as its victory - officer Berezovets
Russia believes that if Ukraine doesn't win through its offensive, Moscow's troops will not need to attack and this would prepare the ground for further talks
Political scientist and officer of the AFU First Separate Special Forces Brigade named after Ivan Bohun Taras Berezovets said this on Espreso.
“Their plan is to inflict maximum losses on our army, to bleed it dry, to destroy as much equipment as possible. From their point of view, this will create the preconditions for further diplomatic settlement. They believe that the failure of our offensive is already their victory. They believe that if we do not win back anything, Russia will not even need to launch an offensive. This will be enough to make it a condition for negotiations. Those who will insist on negotiations, who will mediate, will be found, particularly in Europe,” he said.
