Russian troops are reducing the activity of aviation, artillery and the total number of assaults, but keep trying to advance with infantry
This was reported by the commander of the Ukrainian forces in the south Oleksandr Tarnavskyi.
"The enemy has reduced the activity of aviation, artillery and the total number of combat clashes. The Russian forces continue their attempts to advance with infantry, losing almost 500 people," he said in a statement.
According to Tarnavskyi, in the Tavria operational area, the invading forces launched 4 air strikes, carried out 34 combat clashes and fired 648 artillery rounds.
He emphasized that Ukrainian troops are holding the line in the Avdiivka direction and continue to advance in the Melitopol direction.
Total Russian losses amounted to 495 people. 8 units of military equipment were destroyed. In particular, 4 armored personnel carriers, 2 UAVs, 2 cars. Another 13 units of Russian equipment were damaged, Tarnavskyi noted.
- Maksym Morozov, a Legion of Freedom officer, said that it is too early to predict the development of events in the Avdiivka direction due to active and dynamic fighting in this area.
