Russia in its current state is doomed, the only question is what price we will pay – Lech Walesa

Lech Walesa, the first president of democratic Poland, stated this in an exclusive interview with Espreso.

“The world has no options. It must support Ukraine because it represents progress. This is what the world needs for development, so we should act accordingly. We don't need tanks or missiles, but peaceful means to make our choice and assist Ukraine in achieving victory. We wonder when it will happen and what price we'll have to pay, but victory over Russia is certain. Russia is destined to fail in this situation. The changing world demands it,” he said. 

Lech Walesa also gave advice to Ukrainians on how to ensure that the war is not forgotten by the world.

"I have been proposing this for a long time, but they didn't understand me when I asked for help. I didn't mean taking up arms because Nobel laureates, generals, and other leaders are joining in to support your president. We need to establish international solidarity, even if some may doubt its success. We must build solidarity across the world, even though war fatigue is becoming more noticeable. Through wise organization, the world will be compelled to provide assistance," added the first president of democratic Poland.
