Rheinmetall receives new order for shells for Ukrainian Armed Forces
The German company Rheinmetall has received an order to supply tens of thousands of shells to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which is scheduled for 2025
This was reported by the Rheinmetall press service.
The material states that the contract value is three-digit millions of euros.
The list of artillery ammunition includes the DM121 high explosive projectile, DM125 smoke shell, DM702 SMArt search fuse ammunition (developed jointly with Diehl Defense), as well as the RH68 training projectile and RH1901 and RH1902 smoke shells.

According to the arms company's press service, the new request continues a series of orders for artillery ammunition that the Bundeswehr has previously placed for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Germany.
Rheinmetall entered into a new framework agreement with the Bundeswehr in the field of artillery in July 2023. The agreement provides for the supply of several hundred thousand shells, detonators and metal charges.
The framework agreement is designed to last until 2029, and its potential order volume is about EUR 1.2 billion.
