Residents of Dnipro's left bank in Kherson region are urged to evacuate
In the Kherson region, people are urged to evacuate the temporarily occupied left bank of the Dnipro River as far away from the frontline as possible, as the Russians are using despicable tactics
Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin reported this.
"Today's appeal is to the indomitable residents of the left bank of Dnipro River in the Kherson region, those who, despite all the Russian terror, are waiting for liberation from tyranny and return to Ukraine. This moment will certainly come, but in the meantime, you need to take care of your own safety," he emphasized.
Prokudin said that Russian troops are using civilians in the temporarily occupied Kherson region as human shields.
"They are placing artillery between houses, setting up ammunition depots and new positions in residential areas, driving military equipment between civilian cars - this is a despicable tactic because they know that the Ukrainian army will not fight its own people," Prokudin added.
The head of the Kherson region said that if residents are unable to evacuate to the government-controlled territories, they should leave the communities located on the line of fire as soon as possible.
"Ukraine is waiting for you and will not leave you alone with your problems. We will help you as soon as you are out of the government-controlled area. We will help you find a place to live in other regions, provide you with humanitarian aid and other necessities. Kakhovka, Nova Kakhovka, Henichesk, Oleshkiv, Hola Prystan, Skadovsk - each of the 468 temporarily occupied settlements, all of them will definitely return home. And at these moments our brave defenders are fighting for this opportunity on the battlefield," Prokudin emphasized.
