Preliminary discussions on Ukraine accessing to EU to be held at upcoming summit
At the Ukraine-EU summit to be held in February 2023, one of the topics will be preliminary negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU
Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba made the announcement in an interview with Deník.
"Today, Ukraine is doing everything necessary to become a member of the EU in a short time. We have all the prerequisites and potential, as well as the political will to implement all the recommendations of the European Commission as soon as possible. At the same time, Ukraine's membership in the EU depends on the joint political decision of all the EU countries and the advantages we offer to the European community," he said.
According to him, Ukraine has made significant progress in the implementation of 7 recommendations on which Ukraine's accession to the EU depends, acting "quickly and proactively".
"On February 3, the next EU-Ukraine summit will be held, one of the key topics of which will be preliminary negotiations on our country's membership in the European Union," Kuleba stressed.
