Over 800 Ukrainian businesses relocated due to Russia's invasion
Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, 840 enterprises have moved to safer regions under the relocation program, of which 667 are already operating in the new location
This is evidenced by the data of the Opendatabot platform, Espreso reports.
"Currently, under the government program, enterprises can move production facilities from areas close to or located in the war zone to sixteen regions of the country," the report says.
Thus, the majority of businesses chose the Zakarpattia and Lviv regions as their new workplace - 120 and 199 companies respectively. The Chernivtsi (78 relocators) and Ivano-Frankivsk regions (70) were also the most popular safe areas among entrepreneurs.
The least popular regions were the Odesa (3 businesses), Zhytomyr (6 companies), and Kirovohrad regions (17).
For reference. Ukraine's Ministry of Economy has been implementing a program to move Ukrainian businesses located in the war zone since the first weeks of the war. Companies can apply for relocation through the Prozorro.Sale system.
Any company from the regions affected by the hostilities can join the program.
