Orban will resort to many tricks: Klimkin on Ukraine's accession to EU
Diplomat, former Ukraine's Foreign Affairs Minister Pavlo Klimkin says that Orban will continue to bargain for EU money while receiving discounts from Moscow
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"Orban may even receive EUR 17 billion from the EU. We have to talk frankly about the price for Orban's consent to the start of Ukraine's pre-accession process to the EU. Orban will still throw out many different tricks when individual chapters of the accession process are opened. Orban officially met with Putin. Even the Serbian president crossed paths with Putin somewhere in the corridor. Orban's game is clear," Klimkin stressed.
According to the diplomat, Orban will continue to bargain for EU money, while receiving discounts from Moscow.
"Putin will definitely thank Orban. Many people support Orban because he says that the country will be stable and prices will not rise. Some people are protesting because they understand what this means. Orban also wants to be a little Erdogan. To be a mediator between the West and China, the West and Putin," Klimkin said.
